At the Law Offices of Mark E. Sostarich, we have extensive trial experience in Circuit Courts across Wisconsin. Attorney Sostarich routinely appears in Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Rock, Jefferson, Dane and Walworth county Circuit Courts, but he also takes cases from throughout the state. We also are experienced in representing clients in both Federal District Courts in Wisconsin. Our appellate practice bring us regularly before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court as well as the United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Sostarich has not only authored the appellate briefs for clients before these courts, but also performed the oral arguments. Attorney Mark Sostarich, has over 25 years of experience as litigation counsel at large Milwaukee, Wisconsin law firms serving as a partner in those firms. In addition to complex contract and real disputes, he has also handled class action suits. We have the ability to represent either plaintiffs or defendants. Mark E. Sostarich regularly handles time-sensitive matters, including requests for temporary restraining orders and injunctions. He can be in court on less than 24 hours notice.
A 1978 cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Law Review, a scholarly publication edited by top students at the school. Attorney Sostarich was appointed by the governor and served for 10 years on the Wisconsin State Elections Board, serving as its chairman. He is the former president and secretary of the South Milwaukee Police and Fire Commission and also served on the South Milwaukee Housing Authority. He was elected for 10 years as the Chairman of the Milwaukee County Democratic Party, and chaired the Wisconsin State Democratic Party. He was also elected to the Democratic National Committee. He served as chairman of Wisconsin’s delegation to the 1996 Democratic National Convention. He is the co-founder of the Wisconsin Lawyers for Voters’ Rights. Attorney Sostarich has also served as president of his church council at Trinity Lutheran Church where he has taught young adult Sunday school for over 20 years.
